Rustic Labradorite Pendant
Some days, I have no plan on what I will make. It just happens. Today was one of those days.
This is a one of a kind pendant. I made it with sterling silver that I textured to look like a bit of an antique shard, wrapping the top into a bale. I added a brass bezel that holds a pretty blue Labradorite faceted gemstone. The stone is 6mm. I filed a window behind it, to allow the light to play on the facets.
The silver will darken with age and the brass may change too, reacting to the elements. I believe this will enhance the ancient look.
The pendant measures approximately 15mm x 20mm and comes with an 18 inch sterling silver chain. The chain has a sturdy lobster clasp.
