I usually sketch jewelry ideas with a regular pencil and paper in a sketchbook. That can be bulky when I'm going someplace. I always take my iPad though, so I decided to try a sketching app. I love this app called Paper 53 from fiftythree.com It takes no more than 2 minutes to learn to use. It makes the iPad fun. It's like having a stack of moleskin journals in your pocket. You can open them up and draw or sketch with your finger. Erase or add some color in a natural, intuitive way. It comes with some beautiful color palettes. Let me know if you try it. I like it so much, I'm going to buy some of the upgrades. These sketches shown were made with the tools included in the base price. Now, off to make some of the paper designs into metal! Follow me on my new tumbler account ringsringsrings if you'd like to see new sketches as I create them.
